Awake to beautiful surroundings in north western Nevada

It was colder last night than any night so far (32.8 when I woke up)
Our campsite overlooked a nearly dried up resivior where wild horses and antelope play (Oh Give Me a Home)
Mud Swallows were building homes on the outside of the pit toilet - welcome sight since they eat lots of mosquitos
Entrance to our off road campsite

Antelopes playing

8% grade for three miles, no guardrail and lots of turns,  top or the cliff was about 1200 feet.

Rt 140 is still marked at 75mph as we enter Oregon

Feul was only available at specific stops

The proprietor of this establishment was Prom

Crater Lake - a beautiful place to visit

The snow was so deep - they had 20 feet of snow this year and this is what is left. They are still digging the Lodge out with a backhoe as of June 15th

Snow still down in the valley below Crater Lake
