Why "91- STrider"
-- 91 - The year
ST - kind of motorcycle
rider - that's me
It is hard to believe this motorcycle is 20 years old... yet I have had it for only five years. I bought it as the third owner with only 9K miles and it now has close to 72,000. It has been a very reliable bike and many of these with proper maintenance go into the 200,000 range.
Why an ST? I remember reading about this machine (while in college) when it was new and still unavailable in the US as it was first introduced "over the pond" in Europe. Great machine, comfortable, versatile and lots of fun. It is capable of way more than I am as far as handling and speed and allows a person to cover lots of miles in a day yet is still nimble in the corners. Other than a Gold Wing (and as a friend said "WE are not THAT OLD!" sorry all you Gold wing owners out there - it is just an image not unlike the Harley image that goes with owning one of those. ) I cannot imagine owning something different at least for now.
Well gotta go get the newly mounted rear tire installed.
ONLY 10 DAYS left
